A medical urgent care will not. A dental one will.
Open 7 days, 8:00amโ5:00pm ยท by appointment ยท call 24/7 to book

A medical urgent care clinic does not perform tooth extractions. They are not staffed with dentists, and they do not hold the instruments or the imaging to do it safely. What they can do is prescribe antibiotics for an infection and something for the pain, then tell you to see a dentist. A dental urgent care โ a dental practice that keeps same-day appointments open, which is what we do โ can examine you, take an X-ray and extract the tooth in the same visit where that is the right treatment.
An extraction is permanent. Where a tooth can be saved with a root canal and a crown, saving it is usually the better outcome โ a gap changes how the teeth beside it drift and how you chew. Where the tooth is cracked below the gum, badly decayed, or the infection is extensive, extraction is the honest answer. We will show you the X-ray and tell you which one you are looking at, with the cost of each, before anything is decided.
Often yes. We keep time aside every day, 7 days a week, for urgent cases. Call (559) 616-7629 as early as you can โ the phone is answered 24/7, and the earlier you book, the more choice of times there is.
The extraction itself should not. You will feel firm pressure and movement, which is normal, but not sharp pain โ if you do, tell us and we will add more anaesthetic. Afterwards there is soreness for a few days, which ordinary painkillers handle.
It depends on the tooth and how it comes out โ a straightforward extraction and a surgical one are different procedures. We give you the figure in writing before we start, not after. Call (559) 616-7629 and we will talk you through it.
